FULL VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

At the end, I will give you a scripted introduction that you can use to introduce yourself in a powerful and impactful way.

TIP #1: Create a Good First Impression .
That means BE PUNCTUAL. If you are attending an in-person interview, turn up at least 15 minutes early. If you are attending a zoom or virtual interview, turn camera on ready at least 10 minutes before the start time. This will show your potential employer that you are punctual and organized. While you wait, I highly recommend you re-read the job description and also the script that I will share with you at the end of this video.
When you are early and prepared, it will help you feel more relaxed and composed before your big meeting, and this will help you create a great first impression.

TIP #2: Dress for the Role
Make sure whether you are in person or virtual, that you dress for the role you are applying for. If this is a corporate office job, for example, check out what they have on their website as a brand. If the website shows people walk around in business suits, then you’ll know that is going to make the best first impression. Dress professionally at all costs because this gives your new potential employer the impression that you care, that you are taking this opportunity seriously. No one is going to hire someone that couldn’t be bothered making an effort with their own personal grooming. So, if you want to make a good first impression, dress to impress.

TIP #3: Be Confident and Polite
When you are sitting in front of the interviewer, sit up straight with your shoulders back, chest open and arms relaxed in your lap. Good alignment in your body means you are open, approachable and confident. A confident stance or seated position is imperative. Also remember to smile when you are being spoken to and always demonstrate good manners. Please, thank you, and other niceties, like being polite and considerate will show you have been raised well and you know how to deal with people in a kind and good natured manner.

TIP #4: Leaving a Lasting Impression .
The first thing many employers will want to ask you is this: Tell me about yourself.
Many people don’t feel comfortable blowing their own trumpet, so to speak, so they might come across all coy and shy when they actually have been given a great opportunity to share their best attributes. So instead of being coy or tongue tied, here is what I suggest as a script idea that you can use to really leave a lasting impression and land yourself in a position as a star candidate for the job.
First, I will give you an outline of what to include in your introduction, then I will give you a sample script to learn. You will find the whole script pasted in the description below the video.
Here’s the idea: First, I want you to talk about your skills and qualities that you have that matches the role that you are applying for. Then, I want you to clearly state your experience and qualifications. After that, list any significant achievements including both personal and professional. Lastly, tell them what sort of person you are and what you can bring to the role once they hire you.

Here is an example of the whole script to give you an idea of how it would sound out loud .
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to interview for this position today. I have read up on the job description and I am confident that I have the skills, and the qualifications needed to excel in this particular role.
I am a fast learner; I have great problem-solving skills and excellent people skills.
I pride myself on being a positive role model for others, and I will always be pro-active in continuing my ongoing professional development.
In my last role, one of my biggest achievements was, I helped the company launch a brand-new app that increased revenue by over 30%.
When you hire me for this position, I can assure you, you will quickly see a positive return on your investment.
That’s it!
Feel free to tweak the script and make it sound right for you. Then, I’m going to ask you to try it out at your next interview. I cannot wait to hear how it went.
Do not forget: Speak up. Speak out. Be ready to be heard because remember: YOUR VOICE MATTERS.
